Bird in the sky

I was lucky enough to do this illustration for Jens Meyerhoff as a retirement gift from co-workers at First Solar. It's a World War II plane that came into production at the end of the war, around 1944. A F8F Bearcat and it was very fast compared to previous planes manufactured for the war! For this illustration I completed the illustration with markers and topped it off by adding the transparent color with some by way of airbrushing.
